General information:

The story of Bers Nova takes us back to 2012, when a group of friends got together in a garage and, after several beers and listening to some killer rock tracks, they decided that making their own beers was the next step to pursue. Setting up a homebrew system made out of 50 liter kegs, they soon got to work and brewed over 100 different recipes over the years. Combining their love for beer and music, they sought to create a’Beer that will rock your senses’, and seeing that their homebrewed batches were very well received by friends and family, it wasn’t long before they started thinking about opening their own brewery.

2019 was the year it all came together for them, and they went from contract brewing to opening their own facility in less than a year. The first batches were made at several breweries across the country, and those of you who attended beer festivals that summer might remember them under a different name: Artisan Brewing. Having been lucky enough to work their way through acquiring equipment and battling bureaucracy in next to no time, they officially went live in December 2019, under the new name and branding of Bers Nova, which more accurately resonates with their image: a beer that is a modern, quality product, but is also approachable in terms of taste.

Classic rock and classic beer recipes go hand in hand, and their vision for the future sees them aiming to stick to classics for the beginning, and then work their way towards more experimental recipes. After all, brewer Paul’s game changing beer was Pelforth Brune, a Belgian brown ale which opened the portal for him into the world of quality beers, and later, craft.

In October 2020, they also started canning their beers, making them the 4th brewery in the country to make their beers available by the can.

Bers Nova is slowly but surely working its way across the country, and you can also buy their beers directly from their webshop. Or if you’re out and about, you can even pay them a visit in Borș, where they have their own store, and where they occasionally host live music events and mini festivals.
